How you’ll make an impact:
- We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly collaborative, mission-driven Senior Financial Analyst in our Corporate Giving team who is ready to use their talent to make a difference in the lives of patients around the world. In this role, you will provide day-to-day financial and analytical support to the team's budgeting and forecasting process, provide ad hoc analysis, and work to enhance current operational processes.
- You will work cross-functionally with Global Corporate Giving Leadership, Finance, Treasury, and Accounting. The Sr. Financial Analyst will report to the Director, Global Corporate Giving Finance, Data, and Analytics. Work Schedule: This position is onsite in Irvine, CA.
- Business Reporting and Analysis – Assist in building out and managing key performance indicators (e.g., month-end spend, impact reporting for giving efforts, and forecast analysis) to streamline decision-making and provide insights on current giving campaigns.
- Planning – Advise key stakeholders (e.g., Sr. Director, Global Corporate Giving Strategy and Programs, and VP Global Corporate Giving) on financial and impact metrics to generate strong data-driven decision-making within budgetary constraints, including identifying tradeoffs and opportunities for charitable investment.
- Month-End Close – Assist with corporate cost center and foundation financials including journal entries, financial measures, provide guidance and advice regarding performance, and develop specific financial reports (e.g., month close statements, quarterly forecasts).
- Administration – Manage, update, and maintain accuracy of Cybergrants grant management software database and other giving programs (i.e., employee matching gift, Edwards Month of Giving, lead, in-kind giving, and volunteer grants).
- Compliance – Lead reporting for the giving team to ensure Edwards compliance in giving initiatives (e.g., Sunshine Act, Audit, GAAP financials).
- Special Projects – Provide basic ad hoc reporting and analysis.
What you'll need (Required):
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five years of accounting/finance experience (or three years with a master’s degree).
- Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and related financial systems.
- Other: experience working in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) preferred.
What else we look for (Preferred):
- Solid knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to financial planning and month-end processes.
- Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Solid understanding of the multi-relational impact of the Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow Statement and how journal entries affect each statement.
- Solid knowledge of financial concepts and principles.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $78,000 to $110,000 (highly experienced).
