About the role:
As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in transforming distressed properties into revitalized homes. This is a field-based position that involves being on the road, overseeing multiple renovations from initial planning to project completion, while ensuring quality control at every stage. Success in this role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving, and the ability to deliver results in a dynamic, hands-on environment. What you'll do:
- Frequently inspects properties for occupancy, makes general assessment on the current conditions and quality of neighborhoods prior to acquisition.
- Supports the Acquisitions team by bidding at the local courthouse as needed.
- Collaborates with Design team and Area Manager to formulate game plan for each property
- Selects and manages contractors, and continuously pursues relationships with new contractors/subs/vendors.
- Resolves difficult property issues, manages contractors and vendors, and advises regional Area Manager on the status of properties.
- Drive inventory regularly and check in on properties to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Manages 10 to 30 projects at any given time. Prepares homes for listing and collaborates with the Wedgewood Homes Realty team during resale.
What you'll need:
- Experience with project management/single family home remodels is preferred; 1-5 years of experience is ideal.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, Construction Management is a plus.
- Experience in real estate or appraising is ideal.
- Proficient with computers, mobile devices, and applications i.e. iPads, Outlook and basic Excel, etc. is a must.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once, take initiative and think on the go.
- Valid driver's license in good standing
Wedgewood occupies 50,000 square feet in a state of the art headquarters in Redondo Beach, California and has been named Company of the Year by the city. Wedgewood has additional office locations in Las Vegas and Dallas, and along with smaller offices throughout the country.
o The salary range for this position is $65,000- $95,000.00 annually based on experience.
o Eligible for an Annual Discretionary bonus of 10-25% of base salary (based on KPIs)
o Eligible for unlimited compensation potential on Quarterly Production Bonuses
o All In Compensation potential of $72k-$118k+.
