Why This Role Is Valuable
The Analyst, Corporate Finance assists with maintaining accounting records and general ledger details for corporate cost centers, as well as preparing financial statements. The Analyst will also assist with aggregating data to allocate expenses and bill portfolio companies. In addition, the Analyst will apply cash and manage clients’ accounts receivable.
How You Add Value
Corporate Finance
- Responsible for monthly billings and collections.
- Assist with the monthly close process by preparing journal entries and managing various asset and liability reconciliations.
- Assist Senior Associate and Manager in daily accounting activities and month-end closing procedures.
- Assist with monthly reporting to Client and portfolio companies.
- Propose and assist in implementing changes to current processes that may be identified as needing improvement.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What You Bring To The Role
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
- General understanding of US GAAP.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), accounting software, and databases.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills necessary.
- Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Leadership experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from conceptualization through implementation across multiple internal and external reporting and organizational lines, with an emphasis on relationship management and communication at all levels.
- Ability to stay knowledgeable about, research, and reach well-reasoned conclusions on technical accounting issues.
- Ability to be proactive and take initiative.
- Team player - energetic and enthusiastic.
- Familiarity with financial and accounting reporting systems.
- Fluency in English (verbally and written) is a compulsory requirement.
TEAM AND WORKLOAD MANAGEMENT
- Manage teams with a focus on effective operational execution, responsible for the short to mid-term operational and tactical team activities.
- Define tasks to ensure delivery of services to assigned business partners is in accordance with service level agreements.
- Ensure a positive working relationship within the team and with RevNA office by measuring customer/employee satisfaction and developing on them.
- Support RevNA AVP/VP in managing human resource planning, selection, development, and periodic performance review of your team members.
- Act as single point of contact for RevNA AVP/VP and escalate issues and improvement suggestions when necessary.
- Documentation and SOP creation, etc.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives for all financial reporting processes.
- Liaise with 3rd party administrators and finance team in RevNA.
- Ad hoc project work.
