Plans, manages, and executes the development and maintenance of processes to calculate and pay commissions and incentives to brokers and internal sales personnel. Administers commission and incentive plans in compliance with corporate policy and legal specifications.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Sales Commission Plan subject matter expert
- Liaison between the finance and people operations team
- Responsible for the Captivate commission system, data integrity, and maintenance
- Work within the HRIS and Commission systems to ensure consistency
- Collaborate with the Operations function to ensure sales commission plans are functioning as they should
- Create policy and process changes while ensuring proper documentation.
- Develop and manage controls required for accurate payment of commissions.
- Develop and present business insights to Sales Operations management.
- Develop attainment, productivity reports for performance management and cost analysis.
- Train new agents and employees on the commission system
- Primary point of contact for all commission inquiries from employees and agents
- Ensure commission or sales incentive payments have been properly processed.
- Respond to escalated calls from the sales force regarding complex commission or sales incentive-related processing problems.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly commission and sales incentive payment summary reports for management. Consult with management regarding trends and forecast projections.
- Develop and implement commission/incentive processing policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the completion of commission or sales incentive audits. Summarize audit findings and conclusions; consult with sales management audit issues.
- Assist in designing and modeling commission and sales incentive plans. Partner with sales management to provide cost impact solutions and/or opportunities related to commission/incentive designs.
- Develop and implement process improvements. Identify payment processing system enhancements.
- Participate in and lead other commission and sales incentive projects as needed.
- Manage associates including performance management, salary planning and administration, training and development, workflow planning, hiring and placement, and disciplinary actions.
- Responsible for recalculating any adjustments, incentives, errors as a result of commission and payroll calculations and communicating the source of the issue and resolution to all involved parties.
- Complete and provide all necessary reconciliation files related to payroll for month-end and year-end payroll accruals.
- Complete monthly benefit reconciliations to invoices.
- Contribute or lead conversations with individuals and team members on commission calculations and plans.
- Continue education on the commission software by attending trainings, videos as needed for further enhancement of product and efficiency in software.
- Communicate any learned skills of commission software trainings to relative team members.
- Ability to take data and use mathematical calculations to determine appropriate payouts and variances from original.
