Important Note: To be considered for this Associate Actuary role, this position requires a minimum of an ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) credential, a bachelor's degree, and a minimum of 2+ years of actuarial experience.
Position Purpose:
- Conduct analysis and risk assessment to determine financial performance.
- Using R to maintain/enhance predictive analytics models.
- Develop insightful reporting (Excel/R Shiny/Power BI) to drive actuarial decision making.
- Produce actuarial reports to aid in developing corporate strategy.
In this Associate Actuary role, you will:
- Apply knowledge of predictive analytics, mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculate financial performance.
- Develop actuarial reports based on analysis of statistical data and other pertinent information.
- Analyze various data reports, identify trends and gaps, and recommend action.
- Create and update actuarial reports.
- Participate in merger and acquisition analysis.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of actuarial experience.
Highly preferred:
- R proficiency is central to this role. Excel proficiency. Experience in or strong interest in end-user reporting in Excel/R Shiny/Power BI.
- Healthcare actuarial experience.
License/Certification:
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) (or equivalent international certification).
Applicants for this job have the flexibility to work remotely from home anywhere in the Continental United States. Due to the needs of the business, the ideal schedule is in Central Standard Time.
Pay Range: $84,300.00 - $151,700.00 per year.
