Longfellow/Seward Healthy Seniors is a Living at Home/Block Nurse Program in south Minneapolis that helps older adults live healthy, independent and socially connected lives.
We are seeking a part-time Accounting Coordinator (8-16 hours/month), preferably an employee, but we would consider an independent contractor arrangement as well.
Duties include:
1. Enter financial transactions into QuickBooks Online software.
2. Work with the Executive Director to make sure transactions are charged to the correct revenue or expense class.
3. Complete financial reports - including monthly financial reports and quarterly profit and loss by class reports for board meetings, and other financial reports needed by staff for grant reporting and budgeting.
4. Set up annual budget in QuickBooks.
5. Prepare the annual IRS Form 990 report and the Minnesota Attorney General’s Report (this task may be negotiable depending on applicant's experience).
6. Process and print checks to pay invoices (this task may be negotiable due to the frequency that applicant can come into the office).
7. Reconcile monthly checking statements.
8. Coordinate payroll through SurePayroll software and run payroll reports.
9. Ensure workers’ compensation, unemployment, and employee benefits and deductions are being administered correctly and reported through SurePayroll.
10. Prepare quarterly check register report.
11. Comply with Longfellow/Seward Healthy Seniors’ financial procedures and generally accepted accounting procedures.
12. Other accounting duties as assigned.
Experience in nonprofit accounting desired. Associate Degree or higher preferred.
