A Single Family Office, established in 2017, is seeking an experienced and versatile Director of Accounting to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who will dream alongside us as we expand, bringing their expertise to manage all accounting functions for the family, its investments, and households.
Position Overview
The Director of Accounting will be responsible for the complete accounting processes for over 12 entities, including LLCs, partnerships, trusts, and individuals. This role will involve close collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer, handling full general ledger accounting, bill payment, treasury management, investment month-end recording and tax compliance.

Qualifications
- 5-7 years of accounting or finance experience; public accounting or family office experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of financial statements, Excel, and forecasting techniques.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Experience in preparing accounting and financial statements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, consultants, and principals.
- High attention to detail, producing accurate work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Unwavering integrity, sound judgment, and adherence to the highest professional ethics.
- Experience with alternative investments and accounting for multiple asset classes is a plus.
- Income tax knowledge or experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end financial reporting process, including preparing/reviewing journal entries, cash flow modeling, and financial reports.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Process and record all cash movements.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for approximately 30 bank accounts.
- Oversee expense management via Expensify, ensuring proper approvals.
- Coordinate loan compliance with lending institutions.
- Track and upload all tax documents to Tax Accountants portal. Collaborate with Tax Accountants on tax filings.
- Establish and maintain household and large asset category budgets.
- Manage payroll funding and approvals.
- Provide ad-hoc financial modeling and reporting as needed.
- Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new accounting software.
- Support the CIO in transitioning responsibilities in-house.
