Purpose
The Corporate Insurance and Risk Management Coordinator will assist in Ravago Americas LLC (“Ravago”) multinational Corporate Insurance and Risk Management Programs. Manage, review, and maintain insurance exposure information, claims data, loss control data, verification, and validation of coverage.
This position will be responsible for enabling the Risk Management team’s ability to analyze risk by providing data and reports to facilitate analysis, decision making, and execution. The person in this role will be responsible for maintaining the exposure information and Risk Management Information System (RMIS) and improve the processes around collection, storage, and reporting of data, along with increasing the quality of the data. Critical to this role is the ability to serve as a detail-oriented resource for the Corporate Insurance and Risk Management department by ensuring exposures, data, and insurance program are managed effectively.
The coordinator will also play a critical role in managing incident/claim reporting process, policy handling and risk mitigation data. Under the direction of the Corporate Insurance and Risk Manager, the position will handle and oversee the incident/claims process for enterprise-wide programs such as but not limited to Workers’ Compensation, Property, Automobile, General/Products Liability, Pollution, Stock Throughput, etc. The selected candidate will foster and maintain relationships with many leaders within the organization, as well as third-party partners such as brokers, claim administrators (TPA’s), and insurers. The position will also be involved in varying degrees of developing, communicating, educating, and monitoring of incident/claims reporting and managing processes and procedures.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

- Exposure Management and Processing
- Coordinate with various internal business partners to ensure the external business partners are aware of any changes in the various aspects related to the global insurance and risk management program.
- Ensure the various policies, subjectivities, exposure information, reports for loss control are tracked and managed and remains current and up to date.
- Manage and maintain insurance workbooks, RMIS, provided to the broker and carriers.
- Request information (exposure information, loss runs, loss control information, incidents, fleet data, etc.) from internal business partners, log in a trackable format.
- Assist in the coordination of post-acquisition insurance transfer responsibilities.
- Track site visits, plan reviews, loss control reports for loss control and risk mitigation/management visits and inspections.
- Manage the distribution of policy information renewal and/or merger and acquisition information.
- Claims and Incident Intake
- Obtain details for new claims and ensure the matter is reported to insurance broker and/or insurance carrier; assign claims, gather initial information for claim investigations from internal business partners.
- Ensure claim handling instructions are maintained with each carrier along with hierarchy management for brokers and carriers.
- Aid in the recognition of risk exposures and areas for loss control.
- Verification / Validation of Insurance
- Act as main contact for Certificates of Insurance (COIs), Auto ID cards, posting notices.
- Issue outgoing COIs per negotiated requirements and make decisions as to what can be provided per company policies.
- Coordinate insurance compliance verification for audits.
- Distribute and provide compulsory insurance information to the internal business partners.
- Review and manage COI compliance programs for the various external business partners.
- Coordinate the distribution of renewal information.
- Conduct contract review of insurance provisions.
- Manage all insurance invoices, payments, settlements, etc.
- Work closely with internal business partners to ensure all incoming and outgoing payments are received and processed.
- Manage all year-over-year insurance incoming and outgoing payments in a format to be analyzed.
- Attend off-site meetings and continual education for development; assist in the gathering and distribution of renewal and/or merger and acquisition information.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Projects, Planner, OneNote, Teams, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree or a related field required.
- Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in insurance and/or claims handling preferred.
- Experience with Risk Management Information Systems a plus (Riskonnect experience, an added plus).
- Experience working in an insurance environment preferred.
- Licenses / Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license – required.
- Language:
- Proficiency in English required.
- Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
