As a Business to Business Sales Consultant with Raymour & Flanigan, you will have unlimited earnings potential comprised of competitive commissions, spiffs, and incentives.
This is a full-time position whereas open availability and flexibility are required as business needs dictate. You will primarily work from an office located in one of our showrooms.
Our Business to Business team is responsible for delivering significant sales growth in the B2B channel. Our team works to leverage professional contacts in hospitality, commercial and residential market segments, focusing on developers, owner/operators, purchasing firms, end-users, trade professionals, and A&D firms to build and manage a diverse project pipeline that leads to large volume sales. As a B2B Sales Consultant, you will actively prospect, identify, and develop new clients while representing the Raymour & Flanigan brand.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold our company's Vision, Mission, and Guiding Principles daily.
- Complete training through Raymour & Flanigan University to gain product knowledge, system expertise, and sales solutions skills.
- Manage the "To the Trade" program to grow new business.
- Leverage existing relationships and cultivate new ones with top A&D firms, developers, owner/operators, purchasing firms, and end-users to drive large-volume sales.
- Promote Raymour & Flanigan products and services to prospective and existing B2B clients through various outreach methods, including phone calls, office and site visits, in-store events, and trade shows.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business clients and assess their furniture needs.
- Maintain regular contact with current and past clients to explore new opportunities and build a strong client base through prospecting, networking, and scheduling appointments.
- Use technology and social networking to engage in relationship-building activities.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships to grow business.
- Manage the full project life cycle for all projects related to strategic customers/accounts.
- Prepare and review all documentation required for Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Be available to assist with large projects as business needs arise.
- Attend networking groups, chamber of commerce meetings, trade shows, and other events as needed to represent the business.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Vice President of Business Development.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of B2B furniture sales experience with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Established book of business in the target market.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial and residential furniture products, materials, and space planning.
- Self-motivated with a passion for furniture, design, and customer service.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Proficient in computer skills and relevant software.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

- Strong interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with sales teams, customer care, operations, and other departments.
