Job Summary
The Consulting IPS Business Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the strategic initiatives for all functional areas of the Information Protection & Security (IPS) department.
This person will partner with the Director of Strategic Engagement to develop operational strategies and will be directly responsible for development, oversight, and coordination of all phases of complex IPS projects. This person will lead the development and execution of short/long-term operational projects with key stakeholders by coordinating the development of operational work efforts to support department needs, designing and developing business cases and other required project documentation, and leading the delivery of all project-related deliverables and communications.
In addition to working independently with minimal guidance on large complex projects, the Consulting IPS Business Analyst will consult and direct the efforts of more junior members of the team in support of team goals. This person will also interact with leadership staff across the enterprise to drive results and provide updates on strategic projects and initiatives led by the Strategic Engagement team.
Major Responsibilities:
The Consulting IPS Business Analyst develops, plans, executes, oversees, and maintains the IPS Strategic Engagement (IPS SE) team's processes for supporting IPS strategic initiatives. The top priority for this role is to provide clarity, structure, and definition to all operational initiatives, efforts, and projects sponsored by IPS. Primary areas of responsibility include developing, managing, and leading the following:
- Processes to elicit, analyze, and manage requirements through all phases of work for operational work efforts. This includes, but is not limited to, project planning, scheduling, execution, scope/requirements management, risk management, and status reporting.
- Completeness, consistency, and conformity to standards for process and documentation for all assigned work efforts.
- Decision making across stakeholders based on analysis of requirements and conditions.
- Foster effective relationships across stakeholders through regular interaction, managing internal and external conflicts as necessary.
- Lead the effective identification and utilization of resources, networks, and dynamics through organizational awareness.
- Understand and integrate company/department goals into the strategy of assigned work efforts.
- Engage with stakeholders to develop and execute plans and schedules.
- Influence and manage accountability across stakeholders; escalate unresolved issues with team leadership as needed.

Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Required.
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security or Information Technology Required.
- 7+ years of experience in project management/business analyst or equivalent role Required.
- 5+ years of experience in working with Microsoft Project, Kanban, or other project management software Required.
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare Preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in demonstrating the ability to be adaptable and flexible, with the ability to handle ambiguity and sometimes changing priorities Preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in demonstrating the ability to define, learn, understand, and apply new technologies, methods, and processes Preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in participating in large scale work efforts across multiple teams in a large, complex organization Preferred.
Licenses, Certifications, & Training:
- Certifications such as CAPM, PMP, PMI-RMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, CAP, ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, AAC or other relevant project management/business analyst certification Preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred.
