Wallingford / Hybrid / Flexible Working
GBP60,000 - GBP80,000 (dependent on experience)

About the role:
As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic commercial team. This position provides the chance to play a key role in successfully delivering high-end residential projects while fostering strong relationships with clients.
Additionally, it presents substantial opportunities for advancement, including the potential to progress to a Head of Department role, engage in business development, participate in strategic planning, mentor junior team members, or specialise in areas such as project management, procurement, or contract administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project delivery, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Collaborate with clients to clarify requirements and expectations.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project programs and cost plans for new projects.
- Advise on procurement strategies and manage the tendering process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors.
- Prepare and review tender and contract documents with architects and clients.
- Identify, analyse, and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct detailed cost analyses for tenders and projects.
- Act as Contract Administrator/Employer's Agent, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
- Implement risk and value management strategies.
- Provide guidance on contractual claims and disputes.
- Ensure timely valuation of completed work and facilitate payments.
- Stay current with building contracts and health & safety regulations.
Additional Experience (Desirable):
- Experience in project monitoring for funders
- Proven track record in high-end residential or luxury projects
- Proficiency in using software and new technologies for service delivery
Education Requirements:
- MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
- Degree in a relevant field
- A Master's degree is beneficial but not essential
