Outcode Software, a custom software development and skilled staffing firm, is seeking a Product Consultant to provide pre-sales engineering and client engagement services. This full-time position would be responsible for discovering client needs and business outcome objectives, coordinating with our Product and Design and Engineering teams to develop a comprehensive engagement scope, and presenting the solution value to clients along with the Account Executive team.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with sales / account management reps to understand the opportunities in the sales pipeline and help establish priorities
- Engage customer decision makers and influencers to understand strategic, functional, and outcome objectives the client wants to achieve and translate those into specific metrics that define success for the engagement
- Collaborate with product / design teams to develop a relevant service design for potential client engagements and confirm the scope of the engagement required to meet customer objectives, and ensure on-time delivery of estimates from the product / design teams
- Collaborate with product / design teams to understand Outcode capabilities, resources, and timelines to align with client opportunities in the sales pipeline
- Support the sales / account management reps in the development of client-facing proposals for potential engagements
- Support the sales / account management reps to present proposed solutions to potential clients, explain the advantages and qualifications of Outcode, and address customer questions
- Facilitate client-facing meetings to introduce Outcode developer / designer resources that are proposed to join a client engagement and confirm client acceptance
- Support the sales / account management reps in evaluating the priority and probability of opportunities in the sales pipeline to develop an accurate and timely forecast
Qualifications and other criteria: - Significant and relevant experience in and understanding of the software industry, the software development process, and B2B outsourcing
- Demonstrated experience and capability in uncovering customer needs and priorities in the pre-sales process
- Demonstrated experience and capability in project management and agile software development methodologies
- Professional capabilities for client-facing presentations that establish credibility for significant responsibilities and budget commitments, and for supporting the sales / negotiation / closing processes
- Professional collaboration capabilities for working with sales teams, product / design engineering teams, and finance / operations teams
- Professional capabilities for developing a financial business case to justify client investments and articulate measurable ROI
