Job Overview:
Back 2 Health Physical Therapy is seeking a full time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. We are a successful and established, Physical Therapist owned practice with three locations throughout the Los Angeles area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides treatment to patients as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Explains the physical therapy procedures and equipment to patients and checks for understanding.
- Instructs patients, families, and caregivers in physical therapy interventions, modalities, and home exercise programs.
- Documents patient care services by charting in files and EMR according to guidelines in a timely manner.
- Assists with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area and practice.
- Implements patient treatment plans with guidance from Physical Therapist.
- Reports all changes to patient’s condition to the Physical Therapist as immediacy dictates.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate from a Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Current licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant in California.
- Current CPR Certification.
This position is full time (40 hours weekly).
Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 8am - 4pm; Tuesdays and Thursdays 11am - 7pm.
