An outstanding veterinarian practice in Houston, Texas is seeking a dynamic Lead Veterinarian to join them.

A successful candidate will have three years of experience in veterinarian medicine and good standing with the Texas State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, and DEA.
Responsibilities
- Performs and provides medical services for pets as a veterinarian in a general practice small animal setting. Including, but not limited to semi-annual wellness visits, illness visits, performing thorough diagnostic workups, and individualized patient treatment care plans focused on patient/client needs to gain optimal compliance.
- Practice veterinary medicine in a manner compliant with the State Veterinary Practice Act, Texas Veterinary Board of Medical Examiners, Federal and/or State Controlled Substance laws, and the Corner Vet Code of Ethics.
- Practice evidence-based medicine when data or guidelines exist, using sound judgment.
- Establish trust, build a strong team and client relationships through delivering the best patient care, and display strong interpersonal communication and emotional intelligence.
- Collaborate and work closely with Practice Manager to lead the veterinary team through the daily schedule and caseload, delegating tasks to team members and improving hospital efficiency.
- Lead 5-minute morning team huddles to prepare the team for the day.
- Collaborate with Practice Managers to create agendas for and co-lead brief weekly team meetings.
- Promote the safety of pets, clients, and team by ensuring the practice of safe restraining techniques, following standard practice and OSHA guidelines, and maintaining clean, sterile, and organized treatment areas, and exam rooms.
- Work with the Practice Manager to address and resolve client concerns arising from the medical care of a pet.

- Salary ranges from $125,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and skill level.
