We are seeking a full-time veterinarian for a position in San Francisco, CA. Business hours are flexible, and we recognize that flexible scheduling is necessary to achieve a great work-life balance. This role is focused on preventative care as well as the management of minor ailments and chronic conditions that commonly occur over a pet’s lifetime. There are no overnight or on-call shifts required. The practice has partnerships with local emergency clinics, ensuring clients can find reliable and compassionate care in the event of an acute or emergent health crisis. Partnerships allow the practice to offer services at a value while ensuring doctors have access to advanced diagnostics they may need. This practice offers an innovative approach to veterinary care. Responsibilities include providing preventative care, including wellness exams and high-quality care for both dogs and cats. The veterinarian will provide health certificates, vaccinations, and will promote ongoing development of medical care through continued education. The incumbent will stay abreast of veterinary concerns and trends in the field of veterinary medicine.
Qualifications include a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD), veterinary clinical experience preferred but new graduates will be considered for the position, license in good standing in California, license or application for license with the DEA, strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations, ability to maintain clear communication with internal staff, proven written and verbal communication skills, interest in continuing veterinary education and exploration of new technologies and treatment modalities, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced setting with good working habits in an environment that requires multitasking and multiple time demands, ability to stand for long periods while performing work requiring concentration and manual dexterity. The incumbent must be able to lift dogs and cats of all sizes, bend, stoop, and walk on a daily basis. This role requires working at a computer for extended periods with repetitive typing, arm, and hand motion.
This position offers a salary, bonus opportunity, PTO, and financial support for continued education, license, and PLIT dues. Quarterly bonus is based on revenues.
