Hourly range for Registered Nurses $40.18-$62.31/ hour
- Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
- Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour
- Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

Responsibilities*
A 20-bed unit with critically ill adult patients. Patients medical diagnoses commonly include respiratory insufficiency or failure, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), hepatic failure, renal failure, sepsis, coma, hypertensive crisis, GI hemorrhage, endocrine/electrolyte imbalance and cancer/bone marrow transplant patients who are experiencing complications. Utilize the nursing process to provide primary care to critically ill medical patients/families who experience a wide variety of complex, multi-system health problems and to participate in health activities.
Required Qualifications*
- Current Michigan RN license for all candidates that have passed the NCLEX.
- 2 years ICU RN experience
- ACLS certification is required or within six (6) months of hire date.
In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.
Desired Qualifications*
- BSN preferred
- ICU Experience
- PACU experience
- Experience with electronic documentation
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- ACLS or CCRN certification
Work Schedule
Hours: 36 hours per week
Shifts: Night shift, 8 and 12 hour shifts
Location: University Hospital; 6D, Critical Care Medicine Unit
Note: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
