Interviews are now being scheduled for a full-time Clinical Psychologist in Colorado Springs, CO. The position will support the Mental Health Clinic at Peterson Air Force Base. Core hours are 7am-5pm – schedule may vary depending on need.
Pay Range: $55-$65/hr
Shift: 7:00am-5:00pm
Facility Physical Environment: Mental Health Clinic at Peterson AFB
Benefits: 1099 only – no benefits
Essential Duties:
- Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
- Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
- Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
- Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
- Assist in the rehabilitation of patients.
Additional Duties:
- Attend and participate in meetings during normal duty hours and professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities.
- Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in clinical/behavioral health psychology.
- Responsible for and applies psychological procedures and techniques, including interviewing, behavioral assessment, evidenced-based therapies, and psychological testing/psycho-diagnostic testing.
- Provide individual, family and group psychotherapy, and couples therapy, alcohol and drug treatment evaluations.
- Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders and school districts, as required.
- Maintain accurate and current notes in the Mental Health records of all patients seen, as appropriate, and produce reports of evaluation and/or treatment, as required.
- Participate in military specific training (e.g., training to perform Command Directed Evaluations, security clearances, Military Training Instructor clearances, pre-post deployment screening, PTSD, and combat stress).
- Conduct more comprehensive psychological evaluations to address complex diagnostic and treatment issues. Provide counseling in a short-term treatment environment.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
- Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
- Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years professional experience working in an outpatient mental health clinic, delivering evidence-based trauma modalities.
* Security: Must possess the ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
* Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA OR ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
