Accreditation Specialist

Position SummaryThe Accreditation Specialist plans, coordinates, monitors, and improves compliance to and maintenance of Federal, State and Accreditation regulations; and manages assessment, improvement, and auditing, activities necessary for attaining and maintaining accreditation and licensure from various accrediting agencies. The successful Accreditation Specialist conducts audits, assists in surveys, manages and prioritizes projects, coordinate action plans, and monitors results consistent with the organization survey readiness plans.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of regulations and standards and serves as a resource to the healthcare community ensuring compliance in the various Asante settings.
- Leads and conducts survey preparatory project meetings guiding teams through assessment analysis and identification of deficiencies.
- Manages multiple priorities to maintain organizational accreditation, licensing, and regulatory compliance.
- Provides key expertise and leadership skills as a part of the onsite survey management team.
Position QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business, or relevant healthcare field, required
- Master's degree in healthcare, preferred.
Experience
- 4 years of experience in healthcare regulatory, compliance, accreditation, infection control driving regulatory and standards compliance and /or auditing
Licensure/Certifications
- RN: Registered Nurse licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, preferred
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Healthcare Accreditation Certification Program (HACP) must be obtained within 2 years of hire, required
- CPPS: Certified Professional in Patient Safety, preferred.
- PMP: Project Management Professional, preferred.
