Botts, Kau & Schulz is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant.

A successful candidate will provide stellar service and professionalism. Responsibilities will include tax preparation and planning throughout the year, which may include meeting with clients in person. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to work individually or as a team, and track multiple projects with minimal supervision, all while balancing deadlines. Potential buy-in opportunity in the future for the right individual. Salary to be determined based on experience. Benefits include SIMPLE IRA and health insurance. Some schedule flexibility in the off-season.

We are a small, but well-established firm in beautiful Southern Oregon. We have a professional environment with a relaxed and upbeat atmosphere. The primary areas of practice are small business and self-employed individuals, fiduciary and estate tax planning and preparation in fields such as construction, real estate, professional services, and manufacturing. We assist clients with their bookkeeping and payroll questions but do not provide regular bookkeeping or payroll tax preparation.

Job Summary:

Responsible for income tax preparation.
Ensuring accurate and complete returns are filed in a timely manner.
Completing tax forms in compliance with tax codes, legislation, and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Five (5) years of preparation and planning experience for routine to complex individual, business, and fiduciary income tax returns.
CPA or EA credentials are required.

Preferred Experience with the following:

QuickBooks experience
Microsoft Office
Estate tax preparation and planning
Lacerte Tax Software experience

Salary:

$70,000 to $98,000; DOE

Hours:

Monday - Friday
Full time: No more than 50 hours a week.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $70,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
