The Senior Financial Analyst works under the supervision of the Administrative Director, Finance/Budgeting. Supports prudent financial management through data analysis, interpretation, reporting, and modeling. Performs monthly and/or ad hoc reporting, prepares pro formas based on historical, comparative, and projection data. Provides accurate analysis to support outcome and impact based decision making. Identifies, analyzes and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets with a high degree of accuracy.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY
Bachelor’s degree in business or finance, master’s degree preferred. Excellent analytical and Excel spreadsheet skills. Strong communication ability.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two years of experience required in financial and administrative positions, in an academic or medical setting preferred.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and understand financial data and be able to interpret and extrapolate such data. Experience in cost accounting, financial analysis preferred. Experience in presenting to peers and superiors preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent leadership, communications, and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects. Demonstrable project management experience. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
