Vector Solutions is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to play a key role in the financial management and strategic decision-making processes within the Company. This position involves producing monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages including income statement, balances sheet, cashflow, on a GAAP and Proforma basis, along with monthly analytics for each member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT); producing lender reporting packages; assessing and analyzing financial data to identify trends, and provide valuable insights to support the execution of the organization's goals; and creating a high performing culture focused on continuous improvement. The Senior FP&A Analyst will partner with senior leadership across the firm to build strong interdepartmental relationships to facilitate and develop strategic and investment business plans, build KPIs, evaluate financial performance, and be an asset across the firm. In addition, this role will involve special projects and adhoc requests that may require additional effort to meet deadlines.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and gain deep business understanding of financial drivers and levers that impact the P&L.
- Generate complete, accurate, and timely financial reports for management and other stakeholders. Analyze and present financial information in a clear and concise manner to facilitate decision-making.
- Maintain monthly/quarterly reporting packages including expense schedules that track actual vs plan. Conduct variance analysis to understand discrepancies between planned and actual results. Provide actionable recommendations to address any deviations from the financial plan.
- Drive the annual budget planning process by managing the flow of information to and from each of the functional business lines, including providing insightful analysis to improve the planning process as well as the quality of the information used in planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business decisions. Offer financial insights to assist in the evaluation of potential investments, cost-saving opportunities, and growth strategies.
- Build and refine forecasting methodology across all functional business lines. Work closely with business partners to gather relevant information and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
- Build detailed financial models to support project-based initiatives related to capital structure, product rollouts, and process improvements.
- Support recurring external reporting at the lender and investor level.
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities. Implement improvements to streamline financial analysis and reporting procedures.
- Develop executive level presentations to summarize results.
- Ensure consistent approach to checking work and uncovering key insights.
Requirements
- Advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft products.
- Manage workload in a dynamic and fast-paced, result driven environment.
- 5 to 8 years of experience that includes Accounting/Public accounting, financial reporting, lender reporting, and detailed financial analysis, in progressively Senior FP&A (or comparable) positions.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and experience with Proforma reporting.
- Prior experience working with NetSuite and Adaptive.
- Strong interpersonal skills, presentation skills, and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to partner cross functionally with leaders across the organization.
- Exceptional project management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrable problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills; strategic and critical thinking.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, along with CPA, CMA or other certifications preferred.
- Experience in a growing technology or eLearning SaaS organization preferred.
- Up to 10% travel.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
