The Lead Analyst role focuses on supporting our health plan partners grow their pharmacy lives business through RFP execution. This unique role is a part of the Express Scripts Health Plan Growth team, a cutting edge consulting group that gives you features of a startup with the backing of an enterprise to utilize and grow your sales and advising skills. This role will work closely with our health plan partners to provide successful RFP execution through winning responses, database management and cross-functional collaboration. Additionally, this role will support Health Plan Growth team and Health Plan department initiatives including coordinating team meetings, lab visits and events. The ideal candidate will have a background in project management, RFPs and/or knowledge of PBM industry and be excellent at building strong, authentic relationships.
Essential Functions
- Develop deep understanding of market dynamics and Health Plan needs, and position RFP responses to uniquely meet those needs
- Assist Health Plan partners in RFP execution from start to finish including managing all requests to ESI
- Manage and oversee Opportunities in Salesforce to support RFP tracking and reporting
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of our RFP workflow and database management tool (RFPIO), employ critical thinking to optimize content within the tool, and drive greater efficiency and effortlessness into the proposal management process
- Ensure RFP responses are accurate, client-appropriate, and meet our department expectation of "good" by partnering closely with subject matter experts across the organization
- Build strong, deep relationships with key cross-functional partners and Health Plans
- Communicate strong points of view based on market insights, client feedback, and consultant guidance, and use that point of view to influence stakeholders in creating winning responses, while appropriately mitigating business risk
- Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills to support interactions with VP-level colleagues
- Responsible for various team functions, coordinating client events and high-profile lab visits

- Knowledge of PBM or healthcare industry preferred
