Job Description:
The Human Resources Business Partner consults with leadership within an assigned area in the implementation, administration, and coordination of all Human Resources programs, guidelines and policies to assist with effective use of people and achieve short- and long-term objectives of the Company. Drives culture improvement initiatives, analyzes HR practices, and assists with employee relations employment actions, compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure legal compliance.
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Takes a lead role to ensure the facility is continuously working towards a best place to work culture and mindset.
- Partners with area leadership to proactively design and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Partners with leadership to address operational, talent and talent life cycle-related issues, including change management, organizational development, talent growth, development and coaching.
- Proactively translate the group's business strategies into HR solutions that best enable the team to meet its strategic objectives.
- Work with functional leaders to understand their business units to troubleshoot, problem solve and strategize the people strategy to ensure that the business is capitalizing on their biggest asset, the employees.
- Provides a secure environment for all levels of employees to verbalize concerns.
- Serves as an advocate for the employer/leadership and employee while ensuring disciplinary actions are properly implemented and defensible.
- Conducts claims investigations, makes recommendations, and initiates disciplinary/corrective action.
- Coordinates the defense for internal or external claims of disparate or inappropriate treatment.
- Ensures HR related policies are maintained, communicated and adhered to.
- Manages all legal documentation, including employee immigration.
- Supervises, coaches and mentors HR Generalists.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum 5 years directly related progressive HR experience required
- Supervisor experience required
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding Employment Law
- HRIS experience required (PeopleSoft and/or ADP preferred)
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
- Pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience preferred
- FDA experience desired
Compensation:
- This position pays $84,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises.
