The Consultant, Perioperative Services Administrative Programs & Nursing Analytics provides perioperative oversight of nursing analytics, administrative programs, and incentive programs. Ensures key operational nursing needs are integrated into workflows across business operations systems, including, but not limited to, Kronos, Workday, and Anaplan, by serving as a nursing liaison with key operations partners. Oversees coordination of nursing analytics including position control forecasting, and execution. Responsible for deepening unit leadership's knowledge and alignment of systems operations to ensure efficient and consistent workflows, profitability, and optimal patient care.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates in building and maintaining Perioperative Special Projects, including but not limited to Perioperative Clinical Intake, Perioperative Float Pool, and Perioperative Incentive Programs.
- Provides effective oversight of unit staffing grids, including annual updates in conjunction with budget cycles, ongoing analysis, guidance, and education for unit leaders, and development of strategic recommendations, considering Action OI, industry and local trends, and staffing consistency across units.
- Responsible for oversight of and recommendations for external traveler hiring for Perioperative units, including ongoing analysis and maintenance of position controls.
- Serves as a nursing liaison, advocate, and partner with content experts across business operations departments to enhance strategic alignment and effective systems management to support nursing and ensure effective integration of workflows, i.e., Workday, Kronos, Anaplan.
- Oversees detailed reports, data, analytics, and insights relating to projects, planning and forecasting, and business performance improvement efforts for Clinical Intake and the Perioperative Float Pool.
- Supports ongoing analysis of nursing productivity; provides guidance and data analysis education to unit-based nursing leaders to ensure efficient and effective variance reporting and action plans to meet productivity targets.
- Provides ongoing analysis of nursing business operations systems and platforms to ensure optimization of existing systems; explores opportunities and provides recommendations outside of existing systems to support and improve operations.
- Ensures ongoing efforts to build, streamline, and automate data analytics tools.
- Provides ongoing, comprehensive analysis and reports related to nursing business operations.
- Willingly adapts to organizational change and models commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
- Supports team member retention efforts including trending data, exit interviews, and strategic planning.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $76,398.40 - $122,241.60 Annual
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience. Bachelor's Degree must be obtained within 5 years of hire or transfer.
Experience: 5 or more years in a hospital administrative setting required. Must be proficient with Excel/computer software that includes databases, spreadsheets, and statistical applications.
Licensure: None required.
