We are seeking experienced nurses to join our Central Staffing Float Pool/Operating Room (OR)/Surgery at Coastal Healthcare Alliance, comprised of Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport and Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast.

The Central Staffing Float Pool offers a unique opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses to expand their knowledge base and sharpen their skill set. Nurses are given the opportunity to work at Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital in the Operating Room/Surgery. A nurse working in the Central Staffing Float Pool must possess the ability to think quickly on their feet, with remarkable adaptability and critical thinking expertise. Having the ability to transition between facilities is a must when working in this role with Central Staffing.
For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 0-3 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 3 years of experience!
- Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Position Summary (This position will consist of 36 hours per week.)
The Registered Nurse provides high quality patient and family centered care; in accordance with the scope of practice defined the Maine State Board of Nursing. Through collaboration, delegation and communication with members of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers care to a diverse population without discrimination in assigned areas. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
- License/Certifications: Current License as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine; Current BLS Certification. ACLS required, PALS preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of one year in an acute care setting preferred.\
- OR Department RN Float Minimum three years circulating in a variety of surgical cases including total joint replacement, c-sections, ophthalmology and endoscopy. Experience working at smaller, multi-specialty hospital settings preferred. CNOR preferred.
- As required by department, including Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women
