An exciting paid internship opportunity is available this Winter and/or Spring, offering an introduction to Omron's world of Technology, Sales, and Marketing!
We are looking for students interested in one or both of the following:
- Winter Holiday Internship - 5+ weeks
- Spring Semester Internship
Student interns will immerse themselves in:
Product Support
- Acquire technical knowledge for Omron Components (Relay, Switches, Connectors, and Sensors)
- Work with the Technical Support team for daily inquiries from customers and sales
Product Marketing
- Acquire product knowledge for Omron Components (Relay, Switches, Connectors, and Sensors)
- Develop competitive product comparisons and price analysis
Business Development
- Market analysis for focus industries such as Energy, Automated Test, Gaming, Power Tools, etc.
- Gain application knowledge within focus industries
Field Application Engineering
- Learn about field application engineering day-to-day work
- Enhance hands-on experience with Product demos
Internship Requirements
- Pursuing a 4-year degree in Engineering: EE, EET, or ME preferred
- Seeking a career in Product Support, Product Marketing, or Business Development
- You are a highly motivated self-starter
- You are energetic, assertive, focused
- You have relationship-building skills
- You have good organizational skills
- You're a team player, but can work independently as well
- You have excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
- You can travel within the US
- Expected graduation date of December 2024 or May 2025
Note: With our current hybrid work model, most work will be completed remotely; however, there might be required days on site at the Hoffman Estates corporate office.
