Family Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner to join our primary care team in Dundee, NY. Compensation: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 annually
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clinically assess and treat patients of all ages with a variety of illnesses and injuries.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays and laboratory tests.
- Prescribe medications and other treatments based on evidence-based practices.
- Maintain up-to-date patient records and prepare charts as required.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, informing and educating them about their health conditions and care plans.
- Follow established clinical guidelines and protocols aligned with the best practice and regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, other nurse practitioners, and staff to coordinate and enhance patient care.
- Participate in patient advocacy and health promotion activities.
- Contribute to the quality improvement and research projects within the practice.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Active New York State License.
- Proven experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a primary care setting.
- Ability to integrate clinical findings and diagnostic data comprehensively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and empathetic patient interaction.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or related health field.
- Any additional certifications related to primary care or family practice.
- Experience with rural health care settings.
- Knowledge of public health principles and practices.
- Demonstrated leadership in clinical settings.
