Senior Water Resources Engineer
STV is seeking a highly experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NJ clients, including NJDOT and NJTA. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to high-profile infrastructure projects across New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and analysis of drainage and stormwater management systems for roadway and transportation projects, ensuring compliance with NJDOT, NJTA, NJDEP, and local regulations.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed drainage and stormwater management designs, reports, and construction documents.
- Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including roadway engineers, environmental specialists, and permitting agencies, to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff, ensuring the quality and accuracy of deliverables.
- Engage in client communications, manage project schedules, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in water resources engineering with a focus on NJDOT and NJTA projects.
- NJ PE License required, or the ability to obtain licensure in NJ within 6 months.
- Proficiency in OpenRoads Drainage & Utilities tools, with demonstrated expertise in modeling and design is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of stormwater management regulations, hydraulic analysis, and drainage system design in New Jersey.
- Proficiency with drainage and stormwater modeling software packages such as HEC-RAS and HydroCAD.
- Scour analysis experience.
- Experience in preparing hydraulic studies and stormwater management reports for large infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with NJDEP and other regulatory agency regulations and permitting processes.
- Experience with floodplain analysis and bridge hydraulics.
Compensation Range:
$134,504.00 - $179,338.00
