Pathologist - Beautiful Reno-Tahoe

We are seeking dedicated, dynamic and skilled BE/BC AP/CP Pathologists to join our physician-led multi-specialty medical group as a member of our established and expanding Pathology team. Position Details:
- Full-time employed position with Renown Medical Group/Pathology Department
- General Surgical Pathology Group.
- Fellowship training in the areas of Breast, Gynecology, Dermatopathology, GI, Neuropathology, Pediatrics, Head & Neck, and Bone & Soft tissue are desirable.
- Shared Call - Currently 1:7
- Dedicated team of Pathologists and Pathologist Assistants
- For those with external peer-reviewed cancer-related grant funding (e.g., RO1), consideration will be given to protected research time for up to 3 years.
- Digital pathology implementation planned for 2025
- Service to Renown hospitals - 800+ bed Level II Trauma Center
- 18,000 surgical and cytology cases, 400 bone marrows annually.

Minimum Qualifications
Name | Description |
Education: | Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. |
Experience: | Prior experience in referenced specialty, preferred. Candidates with training or special interest in GU, GYN, Neuropathology, Dermatopathology, and Breast will be given special consideration. |
License(s): | Must possess and maintain a current and valid State of Nevada Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) medicine license. Controlled substance License to Prescribe issued by the State of Nevada and Controlled Substance Registration Certificate issued by the DEA, required. |
Certification(s): | Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology through the American Board of Pathology (ABP). Provider may also be expected to be trained in and/or Board-Certified in a Pathology subspecialty. If provider is Board Eligible at time of hire, certification must be obtained within two (2) years of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Certification Life Support (ACLS) required. Prefer American Heart Association (AHA) approved certification but will accept online certification from American Red Cross Training Services, Advanced Medical Certification, or ACLS Certification Institute. |
Computer / Typing: | Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, proficient with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), etc. |
