About the Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified, PhD or PsyD licensed (in RI) psychologist to join our clinical team as the Senior Psychologist for Children's Services. This position will be responsible for monitoring the quality of clinical services across the Groden Center programs, and also provide direct supervisory support to our school/day program. This position will be supervised by the Senior Clinical Advisor who can provide mentorship and guidance, making this an excellent opportunity for early career psychologists who are interested in expanding their knowledge and experience with ASD and IDD populations. The position offers exciting opportunities to interact with and evaluate a variety of programs and services, provide clinical guidance and support to these programs, and also offers the opportunity for involvement in our Outpatient Services and research endeavors if desired. The Groden Network has a long history of providing high quality services to children, adolescents, and adults with significant disabilities, complex combinations of diagnoses, and often severe behavioral challenges. Our approach focuses on building positive coping skills with persons served, and improving functional skills and overall quality of life.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD from accredited program) licensed in RI to be on site in Providence RI
- Additional BCBA license preferred but not essential
- At least 2-5 years of experience providing psychological services to children and adolescents with ASD and IDD
- Experience working in educational settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with special needs
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Responsibilities:
Quarterly reviews and audits of clinical services and supports for all children's programs (TFC/SFSP/PFEP, EI, Day Program, Groden Residential, CHTS)
Clinical oversight and direction of Day Program and Residential Program, and support of BCBAs at those programs
Attend organizational meetings as appropriate and meet regularly with CEO; Assign and lead training and case consultations for Clinical Leadership
Create, review and update policies and procedures in cooperation with QA
Oversee training provided to employees in children's programs
Option of participation in research and outpatient services
- Supervision and mentorship by the Senior Clinical Advisor (PhD) are available as needed to support transition into this position
