Position Overview:
Looking for individuals who have a passion for social justice and disrupting systemic inequities! Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, the Adolescent/Family Counselor provides direct counseling services to adolescents and families. Complete all intake assessments, session notes, and other documentation as required by Medicaid and grant funders. Provide case management and service referrals to families as needed. Conduct community outreach and education regarding the program. Maintain client data as required by grant partners.
This program focuses on healing families by providing specialized counseling services to youth who have exhibited problematic sexual behavior (PSB). The goal of the program is to reduce incidents of PSB and prevent youth from having further involvement with the juvenile justice or child welfare systems. This is accomplished primarily through group counseling with some individual and family counseling. This program utilizes an evidence-based model in CBT PSB-A (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Problematic Sexual Behavior-Adolescents). We work in partnership with the Cook County Juvenile Court, DCFS, and other community providers to obtain referrals.
Position Opportunities:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or similar required; Master's Degree preferred
- Some experience providing direct services to adolescents (counseling, case management, residential, mentoring, etc.) required
- Experience with conducting group/family counseling preferred
- Experience/knowledge of sexual health education and healthy sexual principles helpful
- Spanish language ability helpful
