Description
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions):
- Assists the Property Manager with the ongoing leasing and administrative functions of the property.
- Prepares move-in files, takes applications, answers telephone inquiries, greets, qualifies, and shows apartments to prospective residents.
- Provides resident satisfaction throughout the term of the lease and strives to secure resident lease renewals.
- Processes applications and inputs information into Yardi.
- Processes annual recertifications and lease renewals.
- Conducts resident orientation.
- Prepares and follows up on maintenance work orders.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- High School/GED required; some college preferred.
- Experience in the property management industry preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Must be highly enthusiastic, sales-oriented, and love working with people.
- Low-income housing and tax credit experience highly desired.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/printers, and filing cabinets.
- This position requires sitting, bending, stooping, or standing as necessary.
