The University of Maine System is accepting applications for an Assistant Director of Finance. This position is responsible for directing, coordinating, and integrating grant management and financial analysis for the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA), ensuring alignment with the overall mission, goals, and strategic objectives of the University. They assist in establishing and administering university-wide financial and business services, including accounting and management reporting, fiscal planning and analysis, and internal fiscal operations, systems, and controls. As a member of the University’s financial leadership team, participate in long-term fiscal planning and goal setting for the institution, and the design and establishment of strategic financial services.
The successful candidate can work at the University of Maine at Augusta in Augusta or at the Bangor campus. For the right candidate, a hybrid schedule will be considered.
The annual salary range is between $65,000-$70,000 plus a 10% employer contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, budgeting, finance, or an equivalent, or at least five years of experience in a fund-accounting environment with relevant progressive administrative experience, preferably in a college or university setting or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
