We are looking for a passionate Staff Accountant to help keep figures and budgets on track, and assist the controller and other campus personnel with accounting functions and reports. Requirements:
- Reconcile daily cash position for the Campus, including operating, payroll, assisted living, resident deposits and Promenade escrow account. Report daily status to CFO and Controller.
- Reconcile all operating bank statements and prepare necessary journal and transfer entries on a monthly basis.
- Coordinate and communicate the transfer of funds as required between the Campus and the Foundation or other entities.
- Coordinate with fellow staff to transfer Resident Deposits as needed.
- Maintain fixed assets and enhance capital purchasing processes.
- Assist in standardizing inventory controls for materials and maintenance functions.
- Assist in preparing Campus trial balances by creating and entering journal entries, reconciling balance sheet General Ledger Accounts and preparing reconciling audit schedules on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and update balance sheet schedules & reports (e.g., materials inventory, prepaid insurance and contracts, payroll-related benefits, etc.).
- Provide monthly reporting for catering and affiliated ministry billing.
- Provide financial expertise for Grant tracking by maintaining financial reporting and coordinating regular meetings with stakeholders.
- Track and adjust through JE all externally maintained bank statements (e.g., chaplains fund and library fund).
- Assist with other department duties as requested.
- Cross train with A/P and A/R Billing Specialists.
- Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Controller or other senior level staff regarding accounting activity.
- Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be efficiently completed.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident information.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP, able to apply to all aspects of duties.
- Possess analytical skills with problem-solving ability. Able to review and recognize problems.
- Two-Four years GL experience in a healthcare accounting or non-profit environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Shift:
Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Compensation details: $60,000 - $65,000 Yearly Salary
