Job Description
The Data/Financial Analyst is responsible for maintaining/updating databases, analyzing data, calculating commission statements, preparing reports, and providing outstanding customer services and support assisting our agents with commission questions.
The Data/Financial Analyst will work closely with the Commissions and Finance Team to make the commission process seamless for our contracted agents. They will be trained to work with our internal software as well as the portals of various insurance carriers to prepare data for processing. EXCEL is a vital tool in the analysis of our data and a working knowledge and comfortability with this program is a requirement of the position. All GarityAdvantage employees are expected to provide top level customer services and provide “White Glove Treatment” in all agent interactions. This position includes extensive work with data and spreadsheets, some telephone interaction, email communication, remote training, spreadsheet analysis, problem solving, working within a Team environment, time management skills and the ability to work independently. This position is best suited for an analytical person who likes working with numbers, who is an independent worker and likes working in a busy but fun environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with insurance carrier’s commissions data in performing audits and statements
- Update and maintain databases
- Understand various carrier rules and reporting to assist agents through the process
- Manage monthly payment process of carrier commissions and perform audits of data
- Manage workflow and report results
- Communicate with agents via telephone, email, and internet
- Assist with various department projects
- Work with Agents and carriers to resolve commission questions
