Member of the finance team for Macmillan Learning, reporting to VP Finance and taking responsibility to be the primary Finance business partner for Marketing, Product, and Institutional organizations. The candidate should have excellent financial skills and experience in business finance partnership, FP&A, reporting, and ad-hoc analysis. This individual is joining a very active and dedicated team of professionals. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Primary Finance contact and business partner for the Institutional iclicker organization. Lead sales forecasting, analytics, reporting, and P&L support.
- Primary Finance contact and business partner for the Marketing and Product organizations. Reporting key financial information, analyzing trends, and identifying key risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate with business partners to prepare annual operating plan, periodic forecasting, and monthly metrics.
- Analyze financial information, prepare monthly financial review documents, and other ad-hoc analysis.
- Investigating and explaining variances to budget and forecast. Review charges for appropriate accounting on a monthly basis.
- Become knowledgeable in the company’s business systems, and financial and operational data structures, in order to create and modify standard reports and prepare ad-hoc analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent degree.
- Minimum of 3 year’s professional experience in financial and operational analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and variance analysis.
- Proficiency with Excel is critical. Proficiency with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Knowledge of Oracle or SAP ERP and Hyperion or Cognos systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and presentation skills.
- Detail oriented, team player and desire to learn is important.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to concentrate and multi-task for long periods of time in a noisy/busy environment. Must be able to travel and work more than 40 hours per week on occasion. Must be able to sit for long periods.
Location
This is a hybrid role based out of our Austin, TX office. Candidates from Austin, TX preferred.
