Job Summary:The Business Analyst will help guide Alphapointe in improving processes, products, services, and software through data analysis. This role straddles the line between IT and the business to help bridge the gap and improve efficiency while adding value. They must articulate these ideas but also balance them against what is technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable.
Essential Functions- Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and gather relevant data.
- Analyze processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement, optimization, integration, and replacement.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including system requirements, process maps, user manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to improve processes, reduce costs, increase productivity, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT teams (internal & external) to design, configure, and implement changes to systems, ensuring seamless integration with minimal disruption.
- Perform system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality and adherence to requirements.
- Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they understand and can effectively utilize manufacturing systems.
- Monitor system performance, collect and analyze data to identify and address issues, and propose solutions to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners to evaluate, select, and implement new manufacturing systems or upgrades.
Additional Functions- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in manufacturing and vision rehabilitation systems and recommend innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and present status around key priorities, commitments, and metrics to senior leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge And Skill Requirements- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
- Clear technical/verbal communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders/management.
- 5+ years of experience planning, organizing, facilitating, and/or executing large scale meetings and events.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Analysis / Data Management.
- 5+ years of Fabrication, Manufacturing or Support Function Experience.
- 3+ years of experience implementing strategies and plans under general direction.
- 3+ years Project Management experience.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving.
- Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy.
- Organizational skills.
- Works under minimal direction.
- Knowledge of business structure.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience.
- IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) (Optional).
- PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PBA) (Optional).
- Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) (Optional).
Working Conditions- Sitting and working at a desk using a computer.
- General office environment.
- Data collection and observations in a light manufacturing and warehousing environment.
- Supporting peers in remote locations.
- Limited travel may be required.
