This is a clerical position which performs specialized duties pertaining to obtaining and reviewing documentation necessary for maintaining facility accreditation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining records and files for the American Correctional Association, Department of Corrections, and Prison Rape Elimination Act; compiling reports and managing data spreadsheets for end of month reports and requests from ACA, DOC, PREA, and other organizations.
- Organizing and managing both physical and digital files; scanning files daily for digital storage.
- Assisting with the maintenance of the facility Policy and Procedures manual and Inmate Handbook as required.
- Reviewing documents and logs for accuracy and completeness; collecting documentation from various departments.
- Communicating information to staff, including notification of approaching deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. High school graduate or equivalent required. Experience working with confidential files preferred. Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities may be acceptable. Requires a general level of clerical skills, knowledge of standard office procedures and equipment, and computer literacy. Communication skills, oral, written and verbal are required. Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and work well independently. Must be able to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with County officials, employees and the general public is required.
