Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records and reports. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical individual who is passionate about accounting and financial management.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, including the general ledger, balance sheet, and income statement.
- Perform general ledger accounting, including double entry bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including SOX and governmental accounting standards.
- Develop and maintain financial reports, including cash management and account analysis.
- Conduct regular reviews of financial statements to identify any discrepancies or irregularities.
- Collaborate with other accounting staff to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Provide financial guidance and support to other departments within the organization.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of our financial records.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports, including those required by government agencies.
- Manage and maintain our financial software systems, including accounting software and financial planning tools.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with financial software and accounting software, including experience with financial planning tools.
- Experience with SOX and governmental accounting standards is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to communicate financial information to non-accounting staff.
- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity in financial record-keeping and reporting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $64,849.00 - $68,906.00 per year
