POSITION: Corporate Accountant (Full Time, Exempt)
COMPENSATION: Pursuant to Colorado regulations, if this job is performed in Colorado, the salary range is $58,000 - $71,000 plus bonus potential. Eligible to participate in the company benefits plan. SummaryThis position is a member of the Corporate Accounting Team. The Corporate Accountant is primarily responsible for bookkeeping, receivables, and payables for the company’s corporate-level entities, including but not limited to, the property management, investment management, construction management, and marketing companies. The Corporate Accountant reports directly to the Corporate Accounting Manager and works closely with the company’s corporate-level personnel to ensure timely recoveries and accurate reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Including But Not Limited To)- General ledger maintenance, inputting journal entries, A/R review and invoice delivery, A/P processing, bank reconciliations, and contract maintenance.
- Assist with the review and tracking of all balances in recover accounts. Ensure reconciliation of corporate entity receivable ledgers with billed entities payable ledgers.
- Work with the Corporate Accounting Team on recurring tasks, such as credit card expense reports, auditing, and providing support documentation for corporate team entries.
- Assist with projects as needed, such as end of the year compliance, process implementation, and software transitions.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 2-3 years of general ledger accounting experience; property management and real estate experience preferred.
- Expertise of common technical accounting skills and accounting concepts, including but not limited to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Journal Entries, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, General Ledger Analysis, Accrual Basis, Cash Basis, Operating Expenditures, and Capital Expenditures.
- A strong working knowledge of basic accounting information system functionality.
- A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to read, analyze, articulate and compile financial reports used for business correspondence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
