Title Bookkeeper

Reports to Administration Manager
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for making payments, operating payroll, and managing our financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with the Administration Manager, the Executive Director and other staff members to ensure the financial health and stability of our organization.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, sales, and payments.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and balance financial records.
- Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist in processing payroll and maintaining payroll records.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills that align with and support the organization’s Mission and Core Values.
- Complies with the organization’s by-laws, policies, procedures, and member covenants; seeks clarification and guidance as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Attention to detail to maintain accurate financial records.
- Organizational skills to keep records organized and accessible.
- Perform basic calculations and understand financial data.
- Experience operating QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Integrity to handle sensitive financial information ethically and confidentially.
- Proven team leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic spreadsheet and word processing applications.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Prefer non-profit experience
