Job Description:
ReStore Capital is an alternative asset manager focusing on high yield, distressed and special situations investment opportunities primarily in the consumer and retail sector. We invest in both public and private companies through primary and secondary market transactions. ReStore Capital is a Hilco Global company.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth company and industry research to develop and support detailed financial models and projections.
- Build borrowing base models, calculate and monitor covenant requirements, build cash flow models and analyze credit documents.
- Gather information on company asset categories. Analyze asset values, and where appropriate, coordinate with and leverage other Hilco business units’ asset value expertise to inform your analysis.
- Conduct comprehensive investment due diligence from initial deal screening through deal execution.
- Create and utilize investment and operating models, along with capital structure and asset value analysis, to identify the fulcrum debt/equity security and investment opportunities.
- Work with senior management and other stakeholders to underwrite, structure, and properly document transactions.
- Assist in the drafting of investment memos and participate in the investment approval process.
- Review supporting legal documentation to ensure the documents reflect the assumptions within the investment and operating models and align with the terms and conditions approved by investment committee.
- Create, build, and update reports/models for, make recommendations to, and collaborate with senior management.
- Assist in monitoring and managing existing portfolio investments and key performance metrics.
- Some overnight travel may be required.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics a plus.
- The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of total experience in investment banking, restructuring advisory, or at a high yield, special situations or distressed credit fund.
- Strong understanding of credit markets and capital structure required.
- Strong understanding of asset-based lending and borrowing base mechanics required.
- Experience with review of credit documentation required.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills required.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and quality of work product to meet time sensitive deadlines required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required, as this position will involve routine interaction with senior management and other industry professionals.
- Experience within the consumer and retail sectors a plus.
- Understanding of distressed loan workout and bankruptcy processes a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills required, familiarity with Bloomberg and Capital IQ a plus.

Work Hours and Conditions:
In addition to a minimum of 40-60 hours per week, may occasionally be required to travel to conduct due diligence, attend meetings, and attend auctions.
