Overview:
The State Budget Manager is a key member of the states team within the financial operations team, and contributes to the budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis for states. This position reports to the National States Budget Director and works directly with National State Operations Desks and Coordinated COOs to ensure accurate and up to date budget management. We are looking for folks with a variety of backgrounds and experience and are dedicated to building a team that looks like America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Finance and Operations teams to implement state budgets
- Develop best practices and high quality processes to ensure clarity among various stakeholders
- Assist with quarterly and monthly budget reporting
- Be part of the support team for assigned states, working with the National State Operations Desk for those states
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of work experience in budgeting or financial analysis
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets a must
- Knowledge of campaign budgeting a plus
- Familiarity with database software (e.g., Quickbase or similar)
The starting salary for this position is $75,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.This is a full-time position that may require work on weekends. This is an exempt position. This role is not BU eligible as it will exist for less than 6 months.
