Revenue Cycle Analyst (Full Time)

This is a full-time Monday through Friday exempt position. Competitive salary based on experience.
The Revenue Cycle Analyst supports, coordinates, and maintains various revenue cycle databases and dictionaries for both internal and vendor applications. You will be responsible for testing and validating system updates for those supported applications to ensure data integrity and accuracy, as well as maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the Revenue Cycle process from Registration to HIM, to Accounts Receivable. Responsible for working help desk tickets as assigned, as well as maintaining appropriate system documentation for those applications.
Responsibilities:
- Updates application databases and dictionaries as needed or as directed by the IS director.
- Ensures testing of all updates for the applications for which they have responsibility is completed.
- Documents, communicates, and follows up on all reported problems, enhancement requests, and system change requests.
- Works with Patient Access, HIM, Finance, and Patient Accounting departments as needed for assigned applications and needs.
- Oversees billing issue reconciliation and participates in process changes as needed.
- Works with other analysts to assure that a consistent approach is followed throughout all clinical and financial applications, including Ambulatory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related healthcare field or related experience.
- Ability to analyze and interpret common medical coding issues.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of hospital Revenue Cycle operational workflows.
- Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills.
- Must be familiar with hospital billing.
- Knowledge of coding, Accounts Receivables, and Registration.
