PTMW, Inc is seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Accountant. The role is responsible for recording and reconciling revenue transactions. They ensure that revenues are recognized in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements. This role is pivotal in the monthly and quarterly close process, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. The Senior Revenue Accountant works under the administrative direction of the Senior Vice President of Accounting and IT, with minimal supervision.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., though hours may vary to meet the needs of clients and business operations. Salary for this position is commensurate with experience and expertise relevant to this role.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Receive all POs via Project Manager, e-mail or EDI. Assist in PO acceptance, as needed.
- Identify performance obligations and transaction prices in POs to create sales orders and ensure appropriate revenue recognition.
- Perform all production invoicing.
- Invoicing for progress payments and management of deferred revenue.
- Maintain daily and weekly reporting of revenue.
- Maintain customer portals for invoice submission, open orders, etc.
- Create new customers in ERP and handle all aspects of new customer onboarding.
- Month-end reconciliation of revenue related balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Correspond with customers, as needed, on invoicing related issues.
- Review open sales orders to ensure invoicing has been done timely and appropriately.
- Report on and analyze revenue.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years accounting experience (public or private).
- Excellent computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Experience with accounting in a manufacturing environment.
