Description
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes for our portfolio of innovative medical device startups. You will work closely with Shifamed and portfolio company management to provide financial insights.
Responsibilities, Skills & Hands-On Experience
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for individual startups and the overall portfolio.
- Analyze financial performance, variance analysis, and key metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize resource allocation.
- Prepare financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal use.
- Partner with executive leadership and startup teams to provide analysis for evaluating strategic initiatives, investment opportunities, and business expansion plans.
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve reporting efficiency.
- Implement best practices in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting to drive operational excellence and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial systems, tools, and processes to support the evolving needs of the organization.
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or MBA with financial emphasis.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate financial analysis and financial reporting, preferably in the healthcare or medical device industry.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis, with a complete understanding of all aspects of corporate financial statements.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Understanding of accounting systems for reporting, answering queries, data retrieval, etc.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
The base salary range for this full-time position is between $125,000 to $160,000 + equity + benefits.
