Job Description
The Accounts Receivable Specialist (AR) will have an integral role in the Accounting & Finance team and will be responsible for billing and keeping records of EBG’s invoices, along with ensuring that payments are properly applied to the respective invoice. There will be great opportunities for growth in this role, as we continue to scale the accounting department to match EBG business growth.
- Create and update client accounts based on payment and contact information provided
- Communicating with clients and customers to ensure that payment is properly arranged, and requests, questions, and/or discrepancies are answered.
- Conduct basic research and analysis for billing and payment discrepancies, should they arise
- Pull historical invoices from software system as requested
- Interact with customers to resolve outstanding issues
- Build invoicing batches based on revenue schedule
- Send out invoices on a weekly basis
- Provide support for coding deposits and reconciling bank accounts
- Identify and communicate priorities and enhance time management
- Prepare weekly and monthly settlement reports for Independent Retail Operations
- Participate in the period-end close process including the preparation of journal entries and support schedules
- Assist with managing requests via the workflow system
- Organize and maintain retention files
- Maintain professional customer relationships with both internal and external customers
- Provide support during a yearly audit, as needed
- Special ad-hoc projects, as needed
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, or a similar discipline, plus 2 years of relevant accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in a high volume and fast-paced environment
- Tenacious in meeting deadlines, well organized, adept at managing peak workloads
- Great organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Knowledge of Microsoft office with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
- Uncompromising work ethic
- Previous experience with Great Plains or Dynamics is a plus
- This is a Hybrid role that works onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays
