Economist / Law graduate in charge of the approval and ongoing supervision of undertakings of collective investment in transferable securities (UCITS) and pension funds (m/f)
Mission
You will be part of a division dedicated to the approval and ongoing supervision of UCITS and in charge of carrying out various missions and in particular evaluating the structure and documentation of application files in respect to compliance with regulations in force in view to authorize new UCITS or approve changes made to existing funds. You will participate in the ongoing supervision of the UCITS through the evaluation of the events, projects and financial situation reported by the supervised entities.
Role & responsibilities
- Examining the application files and related supporting documents to set up new UCITS in view of their initial authorization or approval of amendments made by existing UCITS
- Bringing in your contributions to the assessment of applications and projects in view of regulatory compliance and authorization or the follow-up on requests
- Participating in the ongoing supervision of supervised UCITS through the analysis of changes and events reported by the UCITS to the CSSF
- Drafting the letters to attest the decisions taken by the CSSF in respect to application files and updating the database accordingly
- Issuing the CSSF visa stamp on prospectuses before their release to the public
- Participating in meetings with representatives of UCITS and supervised entities
- Writing of opinions, analysis notes or position papers
- Participating in cross-departments project and be a key person for dedicated topic
Your profile
- Master’s degree (BAC +4 / BAC +5) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Management or Business Law
- A knowledge and experience in European regulatory framework for UCITS or other fund types and CSSF administrative procedures will be considered as an advantage
- Proficiency in written and spoken French and English; knowledge of German or Luxembourgish will be considered as an advantage
- Good writing, analytical and synthesis skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office, knowledge of Power BI will be an advantage
- Rigorous, critical thinking and analytical skills
- Well organized and good communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
The successful candidate (m/f) will be hired as public employee (“employé de l’Etat”) under a permanent contract. If the candidate meets the required conditions, s/he will be asked to apply for admission to the status of civil servant (“fonctionnaire de l’Etat”).
Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record (bulletin n°3), dated less than 2 months, in order to prove their conduct and integrity.
