ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Manage, direct, and review the work of the accounting department (including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll, recording of revenue and expense, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset activity and inventory).
- Provide friendly, fast, and helpful guest service to all guests and team members.
- Responsible for managing the month-end General Ledger closing process to ensure financial statements are accurate and thorough.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
- Complete timely and accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ad hoc financial reports.
- Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining an elevated level of accuracy.
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
- Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.
- Support Chief Financial Officer with special projects and workflow process improvements.
- Maintain organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions.
- Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Motivate and engage team to achieve top level effort.
- Work closely with department managers to ensure they have a thorough understanding of their expenses and general accounting procedures.
- Assist in the management of capital expenditures for both small- and large-scale projects.
- Compile composite reports from individual reports of subordinates required by management or government agencies.
- Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow.
- Issue written and oral instructions.
- Must adhere to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required.

- Must have experience in the Gaming Industry.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- CPA Preferred.
- Three years accounting experience in addition to education.
- Three years Management experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications.
- Professional appearance and impeccable integrity.
- Good analytical skills.
- Knowledge of financial software systems.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative environment.
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated; ability to operate in a mentally and physically stressful situation.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain appropriate gaming license.
