Commercial Surety Manager – East Region
Tokio Marine HCC, a member of the Tokio Marine Group of Companies, has an exciting growth opportunity for a Surety Commercial Bond Underwriting Manager in the U.S. Eastern region.
Position Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Surety Commercial Bond Underwriting Manager to join our highly collaborative team of underwriters to expand our business presence and reach in the U.S. East Coast. The Commercial Surety Manager will manage commercial surety business development activities, production, and underwriting within the U.S. East Coast geographic area.
The position is expected to be at an office at least 4x/month, but otherwise will be allowed to be remote for the initial months.
Performance Objectives and Timeline
- During the first 30 days: Get to know the TMHCC Surety Group team, get up to speed on our systems, surety underwriting policies, procedures, and philosophy, and internal resources.
- During the first 3 months: Establish and build agency relationships, manage the regional underwriting of commercial surety bonds.
- During the first 6 months and beyond: Develop business objectives, implement strategies to grow the regional surety business.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience.
- Minimum of six years of relevant and progressive commercial surety bond underwriting experience that includes a strong working knowledge of state laws and operating procedures.
